Here is a short, 46 word poem that I wrote in the form of a triolet based on the Biblical text of Isaiah 40:11. A triolet has the rhyming structure of A-B-a-A-a-b-A-B Enjoy.
Gathered Lamb
Nuzzling ’gainst His priestly chest,
That chest which bears my name,
There I’m yoked in blessed rest.
Nuzzling ’gainst His shepherd’s chest
There I dream. My wounds are dressed.
There He holds my bleating frame.
Nuzzling ’gainst His beating chest,
That chest which bears my name.
