Jesus’ Everlasting Arms (Poem)

On 2024-09-182024-12-03 By NahumIn Nahum's Poetry, Rondeau RedoubléLeave a comment

Here is a poem that I wrote about three years ago, about the everlasting arms of Jesus as a comfort to His flock.  It is based on the Hebrew word zro’ot olam, which means ‘everlasting arms’; the phrase originates from Deuteronomy 33:26-28, which says, The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms.  May this poem bless you.

Here is a poem that I wrote in August 2019 about going to primary school in the 1980s and taking fruit that I was meant to eat for morning tea – and often never did.  Enjoy.

Let Me Soothe Your Soul (Poem)

On 2024-06-292024-12-03 By NahumIn Nahum's Poetry, VillanelleLeave a comment

This is a poem that I wrote last year in June when I was really struggling in my faith. It is a villanelle that was written in the first person, from Jesus’ point of view to His sheep who are struggling in trials. May it bless others in the faith who are going through hardship. God bless, Nahum.
